A stellar line-up of riders, including Troy Bayliss, Chris Vermeulen, Jason Crump, Garry McCoy, and Stephen Gall, is expected for the Baylisstic Scramble Dirt Track Teams Challenge next year. Three-time World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss has announced Moto Expos at the Brisbane RNA Showgrounds on March 21-23 and Melbourne Showgrounds on November 28-30, 2014.
Former World Supersport champion Vermeulen confirmed he would be one of the team captains in the invitational scrambles event at the Brisbane Moto Expo. He expressed his excitement about the event and the opportunity to race alongside other top riders.
Vermeulen mentioned the possibility of having four or five teams with four riders each to ensure competitive and thrilling racing. The line-up of team captains is expected to include Troy Bayliss, Jason Crump, Garry McCoy, Steven Gall, and himself.
Moto Expo Brisbane is set to showcase a wide array of motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, UTVs, as well as custom, vintage, and classic bike displays. Over 100 exhibitors will participate, with brands like KTM, Yamaha, BMW, Triumph, Ducati, and others confirming their attendance.
Bayliss emphasized that Moto Expo aims to offer a fresh approach to motorcycle exhibitions by providing a platform for enthusiasts and the wider community to explore the latest products and services in the industry. The event will feature test rides, safety demonstrations, and various racing activities.
The Baylisstic Scramble, a highlight of the event, will see five teams competing for points in multiple races to determine the ultimate team champions. The event will take place in a 20,000-seat stadium, promising an electrifying atmosphere for spectators.
Special guest riders, along with some of Australia’s most accomplished motorcycle athletes, will partake in the competition, showcasing their skills in various racing categories. The event will also include support races featuring classic and vintage bikes, ATV, UTV, mini moto, Freestyle Moto X, Trials, and more.
Visitors attending Moto Expo will have the opportunity to witness an array of entertainment activities, including freestyle motocross, freestyle trials, streetbike stunts, and a special zone for kids to experience motorcycle riding in a safe environment.
Bayliss expressed his enthusiasm for the dirt flat track racing event, highlighting the intense competition and the nostalgic appeal of the racing format. He emphasized the significance of bringing such a competitive motorcycle event to Brisbane and the excitement it would generate among fans.
